Description
Summary: We would like the "Units" from the Service module incorporated into all Customer Service forms and reports. Customer Orders/Lines, Estimate Orders/Lines, History Orders/Lines. Workspaces, Hubs, Homepages etc. Our Customer Service Team begins every order with the Unit Number. We use customer orders for part orders and service orders. If possible, when entering the unit number, the customer and ship to# could be automatically populated in the customer orders and estimates. We would like to see a better merging of the service module within Syteline.
Business Impact: This change would speed up the process of order entry allowing the CSR to quickly input and estimate/order. Would also allow CSR to find all related customer orders for a given Unit to see the history of the unit. Imagine a hub for Units as the starting point for CSR's.
Workaround: Up until January of this year we had the UNIT added into the customer ship To's address1. Users were able to filter customer orders by this unit# to see all orders for the unit. This created other issues with shipping as you can imagine, we would like to start using the shipping integration with UPS/FedEx so in January before we upgraded to the cloud we created new user defined fields to migrate the UNIT out of the address field into it's own field. And then we created a new ido for the Unit's field and added to many forms. It's still not as incorporated as we'd like to see but is working for now.
