We are deep in CSI 10 testing. One common complaint I receive is the idle timeout value. i.e., the system logs me out after a short idle time. I then have to log back in and navigate back to what I was doing. How do I change this value?
thanks.
This one?
Logged in as sa. Using webclient for cloudsuite 10. I look at the Process Defaults and there is NO entry with a default name of Browser inactivity lock minutes. As a matter of fact, no entry has the word browser in it. Any other ideas?
If you are in the cloud, I believe this is where you want to look - Infor OS - Security:
unfortunately we are on premise installed, not cloud.
You can add a new process default. Click the + sign to add a new row. Click in the default name column and select Browser Inactivity Lock Minutes from the drop-down list. Enter your default value and save. Might need to logoff/logon and/or restart services for the change to go global. I'm thinking/hoping SL will popup a window with instructions.
All of the available Process Defaults are listed in the form Process Default Names. Here's a list of them from the help…

Hope this helps,

I added Browser Inactivity lock to process defaults. I set the value to 0. I logged out and back in, but it still times out like before. No different. I rebooted the server. Logged in. Same timeout. No different.
We are using the web client if that makes a difference. Would appreciate any ideas.
On prem…go to IIS on the Utility server. Select Application Pools. Select WSWebClient, advanced settings. Change Idle Time-out to whatever you want (defaults to 20 min). We use 720, which is 12 hours. You will have to do an IIS reset, which will kick your users out of the system. You will want to do that after hours.
