O&R upgrade 2026.04 / 2026.07

Hello All,
For the on-premises O&R users, has anyone successfully upgraded from version 2025.10 (or earlier) to versions 2026.04 or 2026.07?

If so, could you please share your experience, any challenges encountered during the upgrade process, and any fixes or workarounds that were required?

I upgraded our test environment from 2025.07.01 straight to 2026.07.01 yesterday. I did not run into any issues with the upgrade (Application, Redis, Map Services, Batch Manager, AutoComplete, Web and Rest Services).

Tested the application afterwards, along with the IFI mobile app, and did not encounter any issues or errors either - overall 2026.07.01 is really solid…big improvement from 2026.04.01 in my opinion.

Our Production environment is being upgraded tomorrow night to 2026.07.01. 🤞

Thank you Dan for your feedback, before you upgrade prod, could you please check if the 2025.07.01 database contain the following tables

CORE.WORKFLOW & CORE.WORKFLOWPARAMETER

and the Table CORE.EVENTHANDLER inclde a data field named WORKFLOWKEY

Our database is missing the 2 tables and the field which causing the upgrade process to fail very early in the process

Hey Amir,

I'm looking in our Prod database and do not see the CORE.WORKFLOW & CORE.WORKFLOWPARAMETER tables. As for CORE.EVENTHANDLER, I do not see anything named WORKFLOWKEY. See first screenshot.

Then I looked in our Test database since we just upgraded Infor to 2026.07.01, and it does have these tables, and CORE.EVENTHANDLER does have the WORKFLOWKEY field. See second screenshot.

Hi Dan,

That aligns closely with what we are seeing on our end as well. The only difference is that our upgrade is failing at a very early stage, with an error indicating that the WORKFLOWKEY field is missing from the EVENTHANDLER table.

Can you confirm which database permissions or account privileges you are using during the upgrade? I'm beginning to wonder whether the installer lacks the necessary permissions to create the new database objects or add the required columns, which could explain why the WORKFLOWKEY field is not being created.

I always use our Admin account when upgrading.

Silly question, you are running the setup.exe "Run as Admin…" right? Also…most likely unrelated, but my upgrades would fail very early on in the process when upgrading Application & Database, turns out it was our Cortex anti-virus on the servers, so we have to turn that off while we upgrade. Another issue was download install files are blocked by default on our PCs and servers, so I have to run a script in Windows PowerShell to unblock all the Infor install files before upgrading.

I am upgrading Prod tonight, so I'll let you know how it turns out.

Yes, on the application server we have full local administrator privileges, and we always launch the Upgrade Wizard using "Run as Administrator." In addition, we execute a PowerShell script to unblock all installation files and DLLs before starting the upgrade process.

I'll try again with sysadmin DBA permissions and see if that would help

I am still trying to get from v2023.01 to v2026.04. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel… Hopefully it's not a train attached to that light!

Our Production upgrade is complete and I did not encounter failures.

After the upgrade, I checked the database, and now the tables CORE.WORKFLOW & CORE.WORKFLOWPARAMETER are there and the table CORE.EVENTHANDLER now has WORKFLOWKEY.

Great to hear, and thank you for the update.

We are still experiencing challenges with the upgrade. The upgrade wizard continues to stop midway through the process, reporting an issue with the WORKFLOWKEY field in CORE.EVENTHANDLER.

Yesterday, I attempted the upgrade using elevated DBA permissions, but unfortunately the issue persists. I will update the support ticket with the latest findings and hope we can identify the root cause and resolve this problem soon.
