Hi Team, An employee deleted a completed job by mistake. Need to know who and timestamp. Also, is there a way to resurrect it?

I was going to answer that if there are transactions against a job that a user should not be able to delete it, but I just proved myself wrong in my training environment. I think this must be a bug because now I have Job Transactions but when I drill back to the job it is gone.
If you are multi-tenant I would reach out to infor as they do have backups- it will depend on how long it has been since the job was deleted.
I am putting in a ticket with Infor because if this is not a bug, it should be.
We did file a case with Infor. Unfortunately, we were told there is no bug, and they could not restore the records. (Same Day)

Once a job is in complete status it can be deleted in the application
. There is just no record captured of the delete it the Database Admin logs. The audit trail suggested would capture deletes but it is not set up for job ordrs ( or anything else)
The job is no longer in the database records but we cannot tell what happened with what information we have available
.
Also, how is possible to remove a completed, rolled-up job that has dollars in it? How can we prevent this from happening in the future?

Jessica Database logs show that the job was completed at 1:26 pm by rxxx and looks like gxxxn successfully ran a Job Operation Status Report at 3:26 pm Looks like you opened case at 3:55 Users cxxxr, rxxxe, and gxxn all touched the job today. They may know if anything unusual occured in processing the job today.
There was no record in database logs captured of any delete for the job which should show if job was deleted in the application somehow.
There is no audit logging set up in the database to track deletion for job orders so not much more we can see at this point. I do not see job order records in the 5 tables created when you create a job and job bom. I do see records in the database in Jobtran_mst and Matltran_mst pertaining to the job.
I think if you reenter the job again with the same item the transactions which still exist for the job will link up to the job.
I suggest you create an audit log for job order and monitor for something similar to occur for a while. See linked KB0687003 on how to set up the audit log tracking. The period used in the job number is unusual but see you have other jobs with similar job numbers and assume have had no issues with them like this. INITIAL DESCRIPTION: Job#26.000398-000 is missing from Syteline. I have a screenshot of the job that was taken this morning. We know it was there earlier today. Are you able to see if it was deleted by a user or how it is missing? Is there any way to restore the job? It was a completed job, but it was discovered that it was missing material that should've been issued into the job.
I know this will not help now but you can regularly file a support ticket with SL-Technical to get a copy of your tenant's database.
This gives you another chance to find historical data.
This is a good candidate for an Enhancement request. Deleting jobs with transactions is just not good.

Hi Mike, Yes, we can put in an enhancement request. But acc. to INFOR this is a feature that is allowed and so, at our end we put in a check to see if the job was in any other status than "F" and WipTotal>0 to be not deleted but transaction Rolls Over and is not Committed.
