Using list API within a Workflow - traverse through the records and do some action

Hi,

I am creating an ION Workflow. As part of the process, I am supposed to run a list transaction and traverse through each record from the result and do some further actions. I was thinking that loop back could be the right option for this. But I am not able to find a proper approach to do the same. It would be really helpful if I get to know if loop back is the right approach and if so how to go about it.

Also consider using an API Flow if you need to call other APIs for each item in your list.

If a BOD is involved as in Brandon's example, there is also a splitter that you could use to the split the BOD and then do actions on the individual items

I don't think there is enough information here to truly guide you through what is needed. However, if you need to iterate over a repeated node in a bod, you only have two options: scripting or a loop inside of a workflow. The workflow loop is definitely doable, but does have a max loop count of 9999, so if you need more loops than this you cannot use it. Below is an example. First you start with  creating a Workflow Structure, as this will allow for a dynamic number of lines. You will pass in the repeated section from an Activation Policy, Set the count parameter to a Value from Structure using Count Values Function, and a path to the repeated node section you are trying to count. This will give the number of repeated items. Set the index to 0, start the loop, do Index+1, assign that to Line# and use the dynamic line number to get the data you need, and then loop based on index<count and that way the last line will be read and index=count and the flow will finish.

Assuming you are Cloud, ION Scripting could also help in this scenario, but it depends on what you are trying to do.
