Empty Pallet Removal

Our requirement is:

A picker performs the last pick from a pallet location.
The pick empties the location completely (inventory becomes zero).
No LPN remains after the pick.
We would like WMS to automatically generate a task for the reachtruck driver (or another resource) to move the empty pallet to a designated empty-pallet location or inbound/staging area.

 

We have not found a standard configuration for this and are wondering whether other customers have implemented a similar process.

 

Questions:

 

Have you implemented automatic empty pallet removal after the last pick?
Is this achievable through standard WMS configuration, Labor Management, Task Manager, or workflow/event configuration?
If customized, what approach did you use?

 

Any insights, best practices, or examples would be greatly appreciated.
