looking for a better way to handle Bills of Materials (BOMs) in CSI/SyteLine.
Currently, we receive AutoCAD DWG files and manually enter the BOM information into CSI, including materials/components and other routing information. For larger assemblies, this can involve a significant amount of manual data entry.
- Is there a recommended way to import BOMs into CSI instead of entering them manually?
- Are there standard CSI tools, IDOs, APIs, Excel/XML imports, or third-party integrations commonly used for this?
If anyone has automated a similar CAD-to-CSI BOM process, I would appreciate any suggestions on where to start or what approach has worked well for you.
We are currently using CSI 10.
