Hi everyone,
Is it possible to pass a variable from CPQ to a configured item in Syteline and record it to a property in SLItems IDO?
Is there a rule that could be used for this purpose please?
Many thanks!
Hi Sasho,
It is possible to pass information from CPQ into CSI/SyteLine, but the approach depends on where you want the value stored and how it needs to be used.
In standard integrations, CPQ typically passes configuration data, configured item information, BOMs, routings, pricing, and related configuration outputs back to the ERP through the integration layer rather than directly updating an IDO property.
If your goal is to populate a custom property on the SLItems IDO, the most common approach is:
One thing to consider is whether the value is truly an item-level attribute or a configuration-level attribute. If the value varies by configuration, quote, or order, it is often better to store it with the configuration or transaction rather than on the item master itself.
If you can share:
The CPQ variable you are trying to pass. The specific SLItems property or custom field you want to populate. Whether you are using Enterprise Configurator, Enterprise Quoting, or CSI Configurator.
The community may be able to recommend the most appropriate integration point.
Kind regards, Mike Bristol
Any thoughts on this @Michael Crampsey @Mike Bristol or @Shelley Horn?
Thank you for helping out @Mike Bristol
Hi, thank you for your help on this.
We are using the Enterprise Configurator. What we are trying to achieve is to do a lookup in matrices during a configuration of a product and pull SOPs numbers (Stored Operations Procedures) which can be up to 6, these will be the variables we would like to pass to SL. Then set these SOP numbers in custom fields in SLItem for the configured item.
This will allow us to map each Item in SL with the SOP document in IDM and be able to pull all SOPs for the specific Item in Factory Track.
