I've been building a custom Python application that utilizes both the SX.e API and the IDM API. In my code, I am using client credentials to authenticate with Infor and receive a token for use when calling the API. The token works with the SX.e API, but when I use it to call an endpoint in the IDM API I get an error. It seems like the IDM API is not allowing my app to authenticate because it cannot associate a user in my environment with the authorized app that the client credentials belong to. Also, authentication works for the IDM API when I use an authorization code flow to receive a token, but ideally I want to authenticate without a user present for automation purposes (client credentials is optimal in my use case).
Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Am I correct that I just need to tie a user to my authorized app, and if so how would I configure this in Infor?
