Hi,
I've used Infor's Cloudsuite Selfservice Portal's Configuration Management feature a few times now. I've imported data manually and through tags. However, I have several questions about what items (for lack of a better term) can be tagged/imported into target tenants.
The documentation that I have on hand refers to these items as 'resources'. My question is, what exactly is a resource? I've come to understand data in Infor as business classes and modules, but I don't believe 'resource' is a synonym for either of these. So what is its definition?
For example, the documentation lists this under Resources - HRT that can be imported.
Resource | Category | Content |
|---|
GoalManagement | Configuration | Goal Management |
What is GoalManagement? Is it a module? If so, I've come to understand that module as "Goals", not "GoalManagement".
Further following this theme, I've found that business classes that can be selected or tagged for import are also spotty. Take these business classes in the Goals module for example: I am able to tag GoalConfiguration, GoalType, and GoalYear, but cannot tag GoalYearActionPlanPeriod or GoalYearType business classes.
I think Configuration Management is a great feature and I look forward to using it more, but the fuzziness around what a 'resource' is and what can or cannot be truly imported does not make me entirely confident in using it.
