Training for Infor OS.

Infor should schedule public training classes covering ION, IDM, Development using Studio, Integration with other software. I have heard all these training for partners only, why is not available publicly if anyone wants to learn?

Hi Keith,

Good to know there are so many Training coursed on ION. But I guess Infor Campus and what you have listed are not in sync. Also, there is no public training classed scheduled on the above subjects. Infor used to be good with public classes. On the new technology, looks like wants to keep within Infor and it's partners.

I saw Vignesh mentioned about the Terms of Engagement, I guess he was referring partners vs customers.

Hope sometime soon there will be Intructor-led public classes for customers on all that you have mentioned above.

Perhaps I can be of assistance here. We do have two instructor led classes for ION that are available now, both of which will provide an introduction to the ION suite and ION connect components.

The first class, called ION: Integrating Infor Lawson with ION, provides an overview of the process requirements to configure the Infor Lawson ION Connector, which is used to integrate Infor Lawson (v10 LSF / Landmark) with ION and Mingle. Specific topics include architecture, patterns and structure, configuring ION channels and receivers in Infor Process Automation (IPA), configuring ION Connect, and configuring Infor Ming.le.

The second class, called ION: Developing BODs for Lawson, provides knowledge regarding design and implementation of Business Object Documents (BODs) using ION. You'll receive development training to create ION BODS for ION, and how to parse and update your applications using incoming BOD received from ION.

Back to Infor OS, I can confirm that our education team appreciates these training concerns, and we are in the process of creating customer facing instructor led and SDL training for Infor OS. In fact, literally as I write this reply, our education teams are working together in St. Paul training rooms working to create new Infor OS training.
