New Activation Policy Evaluating Old BODs

I recently created a workflow and activation policy for General Journal Entries over a certain amount. My expectation was that all future BODs would be evaluated and, if they met the criteria, would be sent through the workflow. However, ION proceeded to evaluate thousands of BODs from the past. OneView even showed them as "within the last hour".

Can someone help me understand this? Did I miss a step that has the activation policy looking into the vault (assuming that's where the old BODs are)?

Hi, the activation policy does not actively poll for data. It will wait for new BODs to come in when sent through a connector. It sounds like the old data has been resubmitted. The source from where they have been resubmitted should also be visible in the OneView timeline.

Do you think they could have been sitting in the source application then came through the connector when I added that Document to the connection point?

yes it could be possible, depends on the type of connector (for instance the Infor Application connector uses the inbox/outbox concept) and how the source application implemented the publishing events (for instance always publish a BOD to the outbox on a certain action, even if there are no subscriptions for it).
