ION auto-retry when calling web service

Hi,

Does ION have an auto-retry capability when calling a web service? What is the default configuration?

When WS connector is the first step of the flow, ION is calling the WS on a schedule. If the call on a given schedule resulted in an error, ION will wait until the timeout limit, log the error and close the call. There won't be any retry.

When WS Connector is in the middle or in the end of a doc flow, then the communication is event driven based on an incoming BOD. In this case, the call to WS can fail for two reasons:

- The request may timeout. In this case, ION will retry after the timeout interval. this interval is configurable as part of defining the concerned operation.. i.e., in the Documents tab -> advanced settings.

- There is a server error. In this case a confirm BOD is generated so that it can be resubmitted later.

Hi Vignesh, thanks for your reply...

We have a doc flow with the web service being called at the end of the flow, the remote endpoint is returning a SOAP Fault, it is not timing out and it is not a server error...

We observed that the remote endpoint is called twice with exactly the same message every time the situation above occurs, there is a second of interval between each call...

We couldn't find a reason why the endpoint is being called twice... any clues?
