Is there a way for a user to view the entire WorkFlow process without him being part or the flow?

Hi All,

For instance, we're using Task Chain components with ION Decision Service for Approval Matrix, in this example I'm the first approver (task id:10468) and there was "someone" that approved after me (task is:10469).

(The flow that we have uses ION API to call M3 API to gather data on the Purchase Order and using Exit Point to update M3 when approved.)

If I use ION Search I can only find MY task, and I cannot see who approved after me, when it was approved and if there were comments/attachments that where added.

Our main goal is to have some kind of a link between M3 Purchase Order number (for instance) to the actual approval flow, so it is possible to see past approvals for each PO.

Even better if it is possible to have the attached Task documents connected in IDM to the purchase order…

Hi Jonathan,
This is a good question. Currently, viewing the Activity Locator (which has recently been replaced with the Workflow Viewer widget) is only used in conjunction with the Task widget to view the currently selected Task. The Task is only visible to those on the Distribution List.
We are working on an enhancement to create a Task Manager widget, which gives other users outside the Distribution list to see and manage the Task. These other users must be pre-defined per Workflow. So when that widget becomes available it will be another way to see the full Workflow.
If you don't really need to see the full Workflow but instead just the history of Approvals then check out the Task Viewer contextual application. You can add it to your ERP application screen so that anyone viewing the record in the ERP can also see the current approval status of the workflow.

Hi Keith,

When I try to do the way you have suggested, I am not able to get any data in the task viewer contextual application. It says failed to load workflows.

Can you suggest me if there is any link to be provided.

Our mingle version in 12.0.18

Thank you for the reply.

I just upgraded to 12.0.25 (from 23) and I can see those new Workflow widgets, thanks!

However, the Task Viewer contextual application doesn't seem to be available for M3 - it shows only IDM in the available application.

I checked and there was a bug that prevented use by M3 for some reason. It is resolved now. However, I am afraid I don't have the exact on-premise version it was was resolved in. Please open a support incident and they can find that for you.
