Test in ION API step in Workflow failed with error invalid_client

I have added ION API step to workflow, import service account and select operation without error. Then mapped result to workflow parameter. Finaly I click on Test link in ION API step and get error invalid_client.

I have tested operation of called API in browser and get correct result without error, but from workflow step I could not get working ION API step.

Can Anybody help me.

I use on premise installation of Infor OS version 12.0.26.

Thanks for including your version and environment info. That really helps!

The error indicates that the API Gateway doesn't like you calling this API from the Workflow client.

Some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Make sure the API Suite in the API Gateway is deployed and active.

2. Make sure the Service Account you are using is still active.

3. Make sure if the Service Account is associated with an IFS user that the user has the correct permission to use this API

4. Make sure you can call this API from another client like the Swagger UI documentation in the API Gateway and/or an outside client like Postman.

If these steps do not help, there may be a more serious problem with the synchronization of Oauth keys between the gateway and workflow. A support incident will need to be opened.

Is this an API for an Infor product or a third party product?

Thanks for quick response, I checked all suggestions and API Suite is deployed and active, service account is active and associated with IFS use which is member of all available security roles. I tested API operation from Swagger UI and Postman and always get return code 200 OK an correct result.

Hi,

I get the same error message when trying to use ION APU through Postman.

My user has all available IONAPI roles.

I have created Postman as an authorized app and are trying to request the token there.

I get to login to Infor OS and I get to this screen:

But when I click allow, I get an error message and is asked to check the Postman console, which shows this error:

The infor OS version is 12.0.25.52 & Registry 743

Can you check the settings in the "Get new access token" dialog in Postman and ensure that the values given there correspond to the file you downloaded from your authorized app? Most likely the ci/ cs (client id/ client secret) parameters may have a mismatch.

Yes, the settings where correct, since I managed to get it to work in a MT Cloud environment.

However, now I set it up as a Backend service in ION API instead and managed to connect to it from Postman using this method instead.

I am also getting error in Postman Console - {"error":"invalid_client"}

this is after clicking on allow on infor Migle page.

Any suggestions? All access token values already verified and looks okay

Sajjad, can you restate your situation / problem? This thread is quite old and the process is pretty well documented.

What is the environment MT or on prem. if on prem-what version?
What error are you getting
have you confirmed the Service account details
does it work when using postman
