How can we catch the difference between two same type BOD

Hello everyone,

We are trying to catch the differences between two CustomerPartyMaster BOD. The Infor LN publish the CustomerPartyMaster BOD every change in the Sold-to Business Partner Page. But we cant catch what has been changed. Our users want to know what has been changed? Is it possible with Infor ION?

Hello Serkan,

Two ideas come to mind for me when I read through your question. 1) Alerts, 2) Extending the BOD.

Alerts could potentially be used but that may be overwhelming. I'm thinking that you could add change/maintain user and date attributes to the custom area of the BOD along with any other attributes you might wish to be there.

Does LN have ways to check maintenance history? I work mostly with XA and CSI. XA for example does have a way to track maintenance so that it is apparent what was changed in a record and by whom.

Perhaps others in the group will have other ideas. Like I said, these are the two that initially popped into my mind. Hope this sparks some ideas for you.

In Infor you can configure audit to reach the same.

Speaking of ION and BODs i see only the way to store the fields you are interested in the target and do comparison there. Or you could only accept/store the data in the taret if specific values have changed.

If you are talking of workflow based on changes - if so - you can only do it on specific fields As far as i know , there is no ION based "compare everything and show diff"

Along the suggested lines of using Alert, you actually have a rule type to detect Value change in a BOD. So if its a specific data change that you are interested in, then you can define targeted alerts to capture the changes.
