ION Desk for send/receive data from External Cloud

I am planning to integrate an application on Azure cloud to Infor. It will be a two way communication, once data is input in Infor CSF - Raw data is transferred to Azure - processed data is transferred from Azure to Infor.

Can I achieve it using ION or any other options? can you please share any documentation on how it can be achieved?

Did you try to connect MS graph API suite to ION API? Probably on azure you already have API endpoints to perform the action you need. If yes at first I suggest to link those to ION API so you can use those in ION document flow directly.

For the two way communication with Azure, this is what is implemented in couple of sites.

Azure exposes an API which is registered in ION API
Once the application creates a message for the event, in ION Doc flow, it will be transformed to the request format of the API
Use ION API Connection point and call the azure API

Once Azure is ready to push the information to ION, use 1-way IMS and send the message to ION. Rest you know, to transform to application message and send to the application.

So in short from Application to Azure its ION API Connection point and from Azure to Application is using 1-way IMS

Hi Sethu, i just saw your post and I am trying to solve the same problem. I wanted to ask you that when I am trying to create an ION API connection point its asking me for a service account. Can you tell me if you can find it somewhere in ION?

Likewise i need to upload a service account file in IMS API also. I will be thankful if you can guide me.

Hi Sarada / Vignesh,

Now when I created the backend service authorization i cannot successfully create a connection with queues in Azure. I got the endpoint (primary connection string provided by Azure shared access policies) starting with "sb://" however i replaced sb with "https" which is acceptable by ION API endpoint. do you think i am going in the right direction? when I tested the connection point i get the following error:

Message: Adapter test connection failed: Application ping failed for Application with url '/ping'. Reason: Ping failed: RequestMediaType/ResponseMediaType as JSON, Reason: Error when invoke rest call with properties: Request Information properties:

From postman, i get this error

Now my error has changed to
