Writing to IBM i DB2 via ION Database Connection

Anyone writing to DB2 tables from ION? Seems database connector allows calling stored procedure that requires xml input and xml output parm. Anyone have any code to share for this? Is there a way to just pass elements of the BOD to stored procedure or do always have to pass the entire BOD?

Sorry don't have an answer, but is ION available on prem? Thinking? will move to cloud at some point. Have similar requirements (not sure if a custom Baan/LN session needs to be written or if we can continue to use database calls directly)

you could get some of the elements of the bod out of the stored procedure. Then you could use the mapping (xslt ) to insert elements to build the complete bod

Currently I'm passing the entire BOD to the stored procedure and then work with XPATH expressions.

Jens, Have you checked the Sample DB2 code provided in the "ION Technology connector admin guide"? For example, see here: www.inforxtreme.com/.../ion_12.0.x_iontechconceag_cloud_en-us.pdf -> Page 62. (This is the Cloud edition documentation. But the content is same as the OP version of the guide.
