Adding a document in IDM to complete a Workflow

I'm needing to complete a workflow based on a document being added to IDM within a window of time from completion of an M3 transaction.

Start event is fine, wait time with notifications from start + 5 deys etc.  All good.

What I need is a parallel task which will complete when the user adds a certain document type to IDM with the workflow's start parameter transaction number in it's metadata.  This will action will complete the workflow.

i.e. WO with service MOT completed in M3.  Start workflow for a user to add the MOT certificate to the WO in IDM.

I see the ability to have a task on the approval of a document in IDM, but can't see how the adding of the document can complete the task.

Any help gratefully received.

When the user adds the document in IDM for the WO, will it have the WO in the document attributes? If yes, then in the workflow, create a exit point check for IDM to search for document with this WO attribute and MOT Type. So after wait step, have the exit point and then a loop, so that you know how long you will check. Say if wait is for 5 sec and the SLA has it that the document should be attached in 1 hr time, then loop accordingly for max that count. Based on the result of the api call appropriately send notification
