ION API Authorized app for IDM outlook plugin

Hi,

As communicated earlier, there is an outlook plugin for IDM that should make it possible to store attachements from Outlook directly in IDM.

To get started with the plugin, an .ionapi file needs to be provided in order to authorize the app to communicate with IDM.

Is there any documentation on which settings to be used in order to create this authorized app in ION API in order to download the .ionapi file to be uploaded in the plugin?

This is the first I am hearing of this plugin. Is it in the download center?

Pretty sure it's this, the caveat being no idea how to use it, and my office doesn't allow me to run it just now, so lots to work out

The plugin is described on the Infor Technology blog. You need to be on IDM version 12.0.32.

So I am one step behind, I was testing the update yesterday before jumping to it. Ill be happy to test it as soon as I get it updated. Looks like you would just need to add the authorized app, I would assume the user would also need the ION API user permissions as well. Ill update here once I can

Did anyone have success in setting up the IDM Outlook plugin and establishing a connection?

I have tried quite a few times not without success. When I upload the .ionapi file, the plugin just keeps loading forever.

Have you submitted a Support ticket? They should be able to assist with this issue.

Just an update on this. According to the KB linked below by Tomas

for on prem we will have to wait for update 12.0.40 for this to work.
