Looking for solutions in use for condition maintenance for customer prices

Question

In the LN standard, you can maintain a price per unit and optionally a discount depending on its validity.

Our customer prices are made up of individual conditions. There’s a basic price for casting, conditions for painting or processing the cast parts, as well as price add-ons that, for example, are agreed with different customers for energy or metal.

We are looking for solutions that are already being used for managing conditions for customer prices, which unfortunately aren't possible in standard LN.

The solution can be an extension or a third-party system with or without interfaces to the ERP

There are three possible approaches to address this requirement:

1. LN Extension

* Develop a custom extension to calculate the final sales price based on multiple pricing conditions such as casting, painting, processing, energy surcharge, metal surcharge, and customer-specific add-ons.
* Provides full flexibility while keeping the pricing logic within LN.

2. CPQ (Configure Price Quote)

* Use CPQ to manage complex pricing rules and condition-based calculations.
* Suitable when pricing depends on multiple configurable options, customer-specific agreements, or product characteristics.
* The calculated price can be passed back to LN through the standard integration.

3. PCF (Price Calculation Framework) + Additional Costs

* Use PCF to define and maintain the various pricing components and calculation rules outside the standard LN pricing functionality.
* Use Additional Costs to manage surcharges such as energy, metal, freight, or other customer-specific charges.
* Supports more advanced pricing scenarios than standard LN and enables multiple pricing conditions to be managed in a structured and maintainable way.
