Item transfers from one bin to another
unknown
Last week we changed our preferred bin location for an item to a new bin location in IC12. Picks for that item are still being generated for the old bin. Do we need to transfer the stock using another screen to get the picks to come out of the new location? If so which screen? IC26?
Thanks

As long as the location is the same in IC12, you can switch the bin tracking to NO, click change, switch it back to YES, click change. You should see the message that the SOH is now in the preferred bin.

We'll give it a try.

We use IC26 for bin transfers.

While the Preferred Bin method works, it is not readily apparent who made the transfer without looking at the IC91.2. The IC26 shows up as a transaction on IC50 which you can drill around on to see who did the transfer and what quantity. The IC91.2 just shows that the Preferred Bin was changed and does not track the transfer quantity.

Hi,
We are currently working on changing out old racks for pegasis carts in one of our main storage locations. We ran into a hiccup when it came to actually switching the products from the bins and transferring the SOH quantities over to the new bins.
After digging into it, we figured out we were able to update IC12 using an add-ins upload and then we were able to use IC90 to perform the bin transfers via an upload as well.
To use an upload in IC90, we figured out we had to perform the first transfer manually to get he document number. Once we identified the new document number for the bin transfer, we were able to use that in the upload form and operate the upload under a "change only" parameter with an FC line action of "A"
Hope this makes sense, please feel free to reach out if anyone would like further explanation.
