Kanban/blue bin, Inventory Intelligence, etc.

Greetings,

We are in the process of reviewing systems to further optimize supply availability and eliminate waste.  We are on Infor/Lawson V10. 

We are reviewing two bin supply systems such as BlueBin.  We are also looking into the Lawson Inventory Intelligence but there are only 5 clients utilizing this system.

I would truly appreciate your feedback on what system you implemented for Kanban. As well as any other systems with robust analytics you implemented to optimize par management.

Below are a few questions;

What system do you use or are implementing?

When did you implement?                          How long did it take?

What was or is your ROI?                              Perpetual?          vs            Expense?

What was your fte reduction/reallocated if any?

What is your percent of compliance on placing empty bins in the right location?

Hi Yvonne. We do not use Kanban, but I see it is included in V11 of MSCM. I haven't researched whether V11 MSCM is compatible with V10 S3.



As one of the 5 users of Inventory Intelligence, I have been extremely pleased with the application and their recommendations for reductions and increases in par levels. You can configure your count days by locations and it can make recommendations of par levels if you want to count daily, bi-weekly, or weekly.



They have not rolled out reporting for the system yet, but the analytics is very strong and now allows for product conversions with the same UOM string so I don't lose usage history. Once we get serious about taking things off shelves that are not being used, IIH has identified over $3M in reductions we can implement. We just need the time and resources to have a conversation with nurse managers.
