We have moved a large site onto a single server hosted environment & cannot get XRL to appear on the Excel ribbon bar for a handful of users – has anyone come across this before, as we regularly experience this?
Office 365, semi annual channel
Basically we moved Opera across onto the new server & installed scheduler & XRL, ensuring all was working. We ensured XRL was working under our Monpellier windows login & our Monpellier Office 365 login, which it did.
We then logged into the server as one of the standard users, and then logged into Office 365 with their credentials. XRL worked.
We then rolled this out on Friday & it became apparent that some users couldn’t get XRL to become visible on the ribbon bar. We realised they hadn’t ran the exceladdinremoveadd.exe, so applied this to one user & it worked, so we then instructed the other users to do this.
Problem - It still wont work for the other users.
We then methodically went down the 3 page document that Pegasus produce to see if anything would work. Most items talk about reinstalling things, but its working for most users.
Caspol command has been run & registry keys/folder permissions have been elevated, new windows profiles have been issued - nothing
The IT company have confirmed that the profiles that work & the ones that dont are identical. In fact all of them aren’t local admins, so they have since elevated the non-working ones which has made no difference.
We cant uninstall pre-reqs, or do the same with Office as everyone is on the same box & like I say its working for some users, but not others.
Just wondered if anyone has any ideas?
Many thanks,
James
