Outlook Automtaion error when saving an activity in SPM
Has anyone else come across problems when saving activities in SPM? We have 2 sites where its extremely intermittent. One is on a Terminal server; the other is on a standard network
Site 1 - the TS, he is trying to save an activity & an opera II message appears saying Automaton error OLI IDispatch exception code 4096 from Microsoft Outlook: You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. Nothing has changed the guy has been using SPM, clearing activities for a few years now.
Site 2 - local area network, 20 users each using SPM all day long, adding & clearing activities. They get the same/similar messages every now & then. When we asked what had changed, we had some conflicting messages from their IT co. They said that they’d made ALL users standard users & switched firewalls ON. So we thought bingo, that must be it, as the message is hinting at this. Then they changed their tune, saying that only "some" of the users were set to this. So we asked them to put everything back to where they were, which they’ve done...and they’re still getting these messages where SPM cant talk to Outlook
Weve googled the message & found one article, but we're really clutching at straws.
