Calculating VAT for the UAE

Any other M3 users out there working with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the calculation of VAT on customer orders? I am running into a tricky issue and want to be able to force the calculation of VAT for order lines even though the destination address on the Customer Order is not within the UAE.

Hi Dirk, I have not done VAT for UAE. But in general VAT settings, it looks like you need to add exceptions in TXS020. You can create a exception based on the customer number.

if you want to calculate VAT regardless of their destination country, then you do one the following options:

Option 1) Make sure the VAT code linked to the customer should have "VAT override" parameter checked in CRS030.

Option 2) Set up a rule with a replacing vat code (having the vat override setting activated) in 'Tax exception. Open' (TXS020)
