Bill Only Reqs Rejected by Lawson
Legacy Contributor
Hi,
Has anyone run into issues where requisitions for bill only orders are getting rejected by "Lawson"? We have two users in particular that will have random bill only reqs rejected by Lawson and we aren't sure of the cause.
Has anyone come across this issue before? Do you know if it was a system issue or end user error?
Thanks
John

Do you use ProcessFlow to route reqs for approval?
Legacy Contributor
Hey,
We are curently using ProcessFlow. But when we upgrade to Lawson version 10, we'll use the new program.

If I drill on a req number and the operator ID for Processed/Rejected says lawson then I know the req was rejected via ProcessFlow. Otherwise, if the operator ID is an acutal staff member I know that staff used RQ13 to reject it. We have 4 people in Purchasing that have access to RQ13. Have you looked at the workunit metrics for the workunit associated with this req to see if a user rejected it?

John,
You mentioned you are going to use the new program instead of Process Flow. What is the new program?
Legacy Contributor
Hey!
We looked at the user ID's within lawson but not from ProcessFlow on the work units. In Lawson, it shows it was rejected by the system and not a user.
Cmartin010, the program that will replace ProcessFlow when we upgrade is called Infor Process Automation or IPA for short.

Thank you John, that is what I thought just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Yeah, drill around in Lawson will just show lawson as the id when PF is used for approvals. From the ProcessFlow Administration Tool (
https://[server]/bpm/menu.do)
, click on Workunit Metrics. Enter the workunit and click Next. Keep clicking Next until you see Reject in the Operation field then look at the ID to know who actually rejected it.

Thanks Jon A.
Any ideas on how to quickly find the work unit? We currently have to rely on an Access report that we run for escalations to provide that info. Is there a way to find the information within lawson without running a report through Access?

I use the PF Admin client that comes with Designer. Sort by Work Title to easily find the req number and then workunit.

We do what Jon does, but part of our process flow for req approval is comments - they appear on the req drill around as display only header comments - we have the proces flow note the workunit, who it sent it to, who approved from process flow, etc.
So when someone wants to see what happened, it's in the comment trail and the workunit is easier to find for errors.

That's nice. Can you share your flow Kat? I'd like to see how that's built into the flow.

We would definitely like to see it as well!

I'll have to get it from our IT. They are currently playing whack-a-mole with a web sphere issue. Please drop me a line kvila@mhs.net and I'll get them out with some screen shots of what the drill around looks like to the user.
