ER 46915 - Ability to run M3 programs directly from the Ming.le search

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to get some extra votes for this Enhancement Request:

"Ability to run M3 programs directly from the Ming.le search"

After the M3 Startpages were removed from M3CE in March, the only way to run a program directly is to run CTRL-R (or CTRL-S). For a lot of our users this is not intuitive. The first thing they will try is to use the Ming.le search.

ER 46915 is an ER to add this ability to the search.

Thanks, yes I forgot. People can endorse either one of them. Not everyone has access to both.

I've voted.

In InforOS 12.0.40 (OnPrem) there is an ability to hide the Search box, so this is what I'm doing now for our customers not to confuse them.

If you miss the startpages in M3 I suggest that you use the Homepages application and use the menu widget to create any menu that you want.

To add a URL to a M3 program you write:

Example - CRS045

?LogicalId=lid://infor.m3.1&program=CRS045

Example - MMS001

?LogicalId=lid://infor.m3.1&program=MMS001

{lid://infor.m3}?LogicalId={logicalId}&program=MMS001

Example - M3 Mashup SDK app deployed in MUA

{lid://infor.m3}?LogicalId={LogicalId}&program=/mne/apps/warehouseoverview/&title=Warehouse%20Overview

The {lid://infor.m3} is so that the URL will become environment agnostic. Generally a logical id instance is needed, like in the first two examples. But to make the links transportable you can template them.
