Shipping performance report

Hi everyone,

We are trying to use as much as possible all report from Visual. But need to help for this.

In the shipping performance report and backlog report from Visual. We found out that this report is using the effective exchange rate from the costumer order and not the exchange rate maintenance that our finance people are updating each month with the new rate.

So, when we are creating a Customer order for one year, this report is using the exchange rate at the creation of that CO and not the one as of the shipping date. with is in the exchange rate maintenance

Anyone as a solution or else that can help us.

We found that our options for customizing Visuals reporting tools were limited so we implemented PowerBI reporting in our organization. The cost is small compared to the time savings for quick access to information on the fly, web based and allows the ability of scheduling automated emails. Highly recommend!

You really have two decisions to make.

1) How to go about getting the proper SQL query so that your report reflects what you want to appear

I would recommend you call Infor Support and ask them to help you locate the SQL that the report is currently using. Depending on who you get on the phone, they might help you with the query. This will give you the fields and tables and then you can modify the query to pull the right field and calculate your exchange rate.

2) Where you want you report to reside.

Once you have the SQL query you have multiple options for your usergroup:

a) You paste the new SQL into Visual Report Writer and then the report is available via Visual to all of your Visual users.

b) You can paste the new SQL into PowerBI and with a subscription. Caleb is correct on all accounts. The report is available to all your PowerBI users via a web browser (mobile device, laptop, etc.) at a cost of about $10/month/person

c) You can paste the new SQL into Microsoft Excel and assuming they are on your network (VPN or local)... the data can appear. We use Excel because people here are used to it and like PowerBI, you can automatically shade cells, run calculations, graph, etc. pretty easily.
