We recently installed 5 new windows 10 64 bit 1909 (18363.836) PC. 2 of the users use Opera CRM and Opera was just crashing or disappearing only when using CRM. Issues seems to related to using Office 2016/2019 and windows 10 64 bit 1909. We tried downgrading to the compatible office builds too.
There was an error in the windows application log but Opera does not trap the error. After speaking with support they first had me changing the DEP settings - adding in OPERA.EXE, SPM . Eventually they had me disable DEP completely using the command
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff. Before this could be done I had to change the the BIOS settings - legacy boot turned on and secure boot turned off
The computers are now not crashing but I don't really want to leave the PC's in this vulnerable state. Anybody else had this issue and know how to turn DEP on with-out Opera CRM crashing?
