M3 event to trigger an ion workflow

HI , I am getting started with ion workflow and am looking for the best way to Monitor a status change in M3 and trigger a workflow. Specifically I would like to monitor CMS975 in M3 and count how many records are at various statuses and then send an initial alert to say "you have n no of records at status x" with a drill back. The other part is to trigger workflow on individual record status changes.

I have seen some information about using CMS047 and event hub / analytics but not sure if that is correct for Cloudsuite. I have generated the event and can see it in event hub however the workflow specified in CMS047 is not being generated and I am not clear on how to set up event analytics and how to count multiple records rather than send one alert for each event. Am I on the right track or is there a better different way ? I appreciate any help.

Hi,

I am not sure about this program CMS975, feature list ? For the alert, maybe you could investigate in a monitor widget in one homepage that uses FACETMI to count the numbers of records having status xx (this requires that the table behind the scene is "IES enabled"). You can activate "severity indication" to make it more visible to the end user and also add a bookmark. Verify that your M3 transaction has a bookmark in MTS043.

As for the workflow, any change of status could be monitored by an activation policy. That being said, you need to build a custom BOD and trigger it with a rule in EventAnalytics (new value of status <> old value of status). Most of classic activation policies are using the Infor standard BODs. The activation policy would listen to this particular BOD and trigger workflow if necessary.

Hi Maxine, I can see the widget MI FACETMI but I am not sure how to configure it to return what I need e.g for field names , query syntax etc. I cannot find any information about this.

It's like a select count(*) done in SQL statement. You must enter your IES query and the API will return all the facets you have defined in IES for the given table (mandatory input field FNAM). Optionally, you can add one filter field in the input field FLNA : in this case, the returned facet will be this particular field.

If you did not define any facets for your table in IES, the API will return no record.

As an example, if i want to know how many customer order are in status 33 in my facility XXX with a filter on field ORST, i will setup the API like this:

Hi Maxine, Sorry my search is not returning any data. I am using Cloudsuite and the search has been enabled and crawl completed but I am not sure where to configure / check if the facets have been defined. In Cloudsuite is that possible do you know ?
