To use Microsoft D365 services to send the data from EAM to Microsoft D365

Hi,

We have following use case for the integration on infor Cloud. The integration is between InforEAM and Microsoft dynamics D365. Both the solutions are on cloud and Microsoft has the Web services to synchronize the data into D365 which needs to configure the in Infor ION and D365 expecting token based authentication. The Integration is to send the requisition,Workorder costing and Stock transactions.

Is similar integration is achieved earlier on infor Cloud using IONAPI and if so can you share the details to configure D365 web services in Infor ION.

Hi Lawrence.

The foundation integration for Infor in asynchronous scenarios is to use BODs. A requirements like this would be implemented with EAM BODs flowing to ION, then passed to D365 as a ION API call. The BOD patterns for EAM Integration are rich and used in many existing product integrations, supporting variations of Procurement, Finance and Inventory.

D365 token authentication is possible in ION and ION API.

i got the point you are mentioning. As i understand there are 2 aspect first to configure ION API with D365 and the second one is to configure the ION API in the workflows to consume the BOD from Infor application to send the data to D365 (using ION API). We tried to configure this way and we were unable to achieve the results that we were trying to achieve is there is any thought on this?

Hi Lawrence, You would also consider the pattern from D365 to Infor EAM.

Could clarify where you had a challenge? What version were you attempting on?
