Facts / Storefront in a multi-company environment
Legacy Contributor
Does anyone have a successful eStorefont / Facts install in a multi-company environment, and if so would you be willing to share any insight on how you got it working? The client is at Facts 7.9 and eStorefront 2.03.00. Thanks!

What is the goal?
2 websites, one to Company 01 and the other company 02?
2 websites - two different front doors, both pointing to the same FACTS Company?

Ideally, they would like have one Storefront environment with multiple Facts companies.

What you seek is not possible with current SF to FACTS logic. Currently SF is looking to one company for information. You could have the same item number in two different companies. ie I100 could exist in Company 01 and Company 02 as different products. How would SF know? When an order or price availability is done, how would FACTS know which company to look at. The current SF logic sends the Company info with the calls.
To make your scenario work you would have to do a FACTS side mod to lie to SF. The mod would have to a) send the items to SF as company 01 (or company of choosing) and b) parse it when it came in in order to place it in the correct companies order file.
