Now that IPA has been abandoned, i wonder if any remplacement software providing IPA's Business Process Management features is planned by Infor ?
Thanks.
I wasn't aware that IPA was abandoned. I know it is being supplemented by ION, but as far as I know, IPA is still integral to the landmark platform.
According to Del Dehn (last week at the MWLUG), IPA is not being abandoned/supplanted for ION, but they have different areas of influence. ION is a systems level facility (e.g. between systems). IPA is application centric to Landmark. There is some overlap in functions and where they work. But IPA will (only) act on Landmark applications (Contract Management for example).
The Infor Process Automation (IPA) product is not being abandoned. The Infor Process Automation product is the workflow engine for the Infor Landmark Technology Runtime platform based applications. Infor Process Automation feature enhancements are delivered regularly with the Infor Landmark Technology Runtime platform's customer update (CU) releases.

Good morning,
Thank you for the clarifications.
I'm working on M3 and have heared that IPA would be replaced by ION. I presume now that it was about the workflow functions.
But it looks that IPA offers other features to the M3 platform such as the BPM fuctionnalities.
Since M3 is not a Lanmark product, i wonder if another product would replace IPA BPM functionnalities.
Regards.
Its been long since we have seen new features coming in IPA. Its mostly ION that seems to be getting updates. IPA may not be retiring any time soon but it looks to be on the same track as Lawson 4gl.
