Setting Employee Work Email address when creating an employee via IPA HireResource action

Has anyone been able to set the work email address of the employee interfaced from a 3rd party into GHR via IPA?

When i am hiring an employee via HireResource action on Employee business class it does not seem to have an option to set the employee work email address and without the work email address the transition management flow that triggers on hire of an employee does not initiate email if work email is not set on Employee Hiring.

This works. it still doesnt trigger the transition email. not sure what is the issue. will transition mails only trigger on hire date, effective date or something like that.

Chad, Is it possible to update a couple of custom fields on Workassignment in HireResource action.

It is. You originally stated you were using IPA and the Work Assignment user fields are available for you to populate through the Builder in the Landmark Transaction node for the HireResource action. AND/OR if you want to have these user fields available for manually processing through the online screens you can also add the user fields to the HireResource action form.

Yes I want to update 2 custom fields defined on WorkAssignment business class via HireResource action on Employee Business class via IPA and also define them on the Hire Resource action form for users to enter manually on the rare occasions they will hire a resource manually and not via the 3rd party interface.

How would I go about doing that? The builder doesnt show related business class fields or am I missing something. Using a relation means that sometimes main business class fields disappear . can i directly call it by manually typing it? what relation would i use?
