Announcing VEGUG - VISUAL Enterprise Global User Group
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce VEGUG - the VISUAL Enterprise Global Users Group.
In a nutshell, VEGUG was started to bring together the established User Groups, provide assistance to those who are looking to start a User Group in their area, and to provide a voice from the users to Infor on what we need in terms on enhancement and development. Going forward, VEGUG will be given an opportunity to present to the executive team of Infor providing feedback (both positive and negative) on what is discussed at User Group meetings.
There are 5 members of the VEGUG steering committee, each of whom has a unique role on the team:
*Jeff Carignan (Instrument Technology Inc. & New England User Group) - Jeff's role is organizing the Enhancement Request program. jeff@scopes.com
*Peter Boers (Encore Plastics & OINK User Group) - Peter's role is working on the website. pboers@e-encore.com
*Candy Kirchner (FasTest Inc. & Minnesota User Group) - Candy's role is User Group and Member Relations. candy.kirchner@fastestinc.com
*Shelby Overbeck (Omni Components Corp & New England User Group) - Shelby's role is Group Finances. soverbeck@omnicomponents.com
*Jason Snoeyink (Metal Components Inc. & Michigan User Group) - Jason's role is Infor and Channel Partner relations. jsnoeyink@metalcompinc.com
Note: VEGUG is a non-profit organization. All involvement is done on a volunteer basis. All funds that are raised go towards User Group expenses such as website development, meetings, etc.
There are currently about 12 User Groups affiliated with VEGUG from around the US and Canada. We are always looking to add more. Please contact any one of us for more info.
We do have a website in development that will replace the existing one being maintained by the New England User's Group. The new website will have additional features like online enhancement voting, networking tools, etc.
The purpose of the VISUAL Enterprise Global User's Group is to provide a user-friendly forum for all users of Infor's VISUAL Enterprise products, to encourage communication within the group, regional VISUAL User Groups, Infor, Infor's VISUAL Channel Partners and all other Internet based VISUAL-centric groups.
The goals of VEGUG are:
*To provide its members with information that will maximize their effectiveness within their organizations.
*To provide a nurturing environment of mutual respect that encourages and supports networking with other members, regional VISUAL User Groups, Infor and Infor's VISUAL Channel Partners.
*To provide input about future enhancements to Infor VISUAL products.
*Assist User Group startups.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
Thanks,
Jason Snoeyink
