windows 8.1 posting cashbook get index error on atran but others able to post
error is index does not match the table. delete the index and recreate.
Thought this was similar to the smb 2 issues when windows 7 came out so switched to compatibility mode as windows 7 and seems to go away for a day.
now recurring but only the windows 8.1 pcs get an error. other users can post normally on windows 7 pcs. server has been upgraded to 2012 but still getting error.
We didn't supply the hardware but their IT dept do use group policy to secure the network and they had disabled oplocks on their old server but can't see the key in 2012. large number of users so sounds like a locking issue.
problems have got worse as more windows 8.1 pcs are added.
using Kaspersky endpoint security 10.1.0.867 in case its relevant
