Can I move a Labor Ticket Entry?
jcrooks
Is it possible to shift a Labor Ticket Entry from one work order to another?
For example, we have a part that goes back and forth through several operations and on the shop floor two of the work orders had gotten mixed up. The guys working on the initial operation for the part had clocked in for the finishing operation and vice versa. I could switch everything manually but I was just wondering if there was a quicker way.

Marcus,
Only method I know is[and does not work if a posting has occured] to delete the work order and remake correctly. That being said, if oyu are not actual cost, I would simply modify the "elapsed" hours of the swapped tickets to put the correct number of hours against the correct operation. Note that when you delete a labor ticket, the pertinant information remains on the screen. It CAN be reused. just modify the filed needing modification and save. it will be a new transaction. [Try it out in a test data base first so you see how it works.]

That was perfect. I deleted the labor ticket and, with the information still there, changed the work order number and saved it. Simple and effective. Thank you
Much faster than creating a new labor ticket.
