Other that in the "/etc/inittab", where else can I initiate the pvxhost file from in SCO OpenServer 6.0?

We of Pivotal Systems have for several years been putting such startup commands in file "/etc/rc.d/8/userdef".

You can also set it up in /etc/rc2.d as some file (ex: S99facts). For example, /etc/rc2.d/S99facts could have:
/./infor/pvxhost &
The drawback to this method is that it only occurs once - at bootup. Typically, you want it in /etc/inittab, with the 'respawn' option, so that if the pvxhost (nthost) dies, it will respawn itself automatically.
