evs006 initial data load - how to work with it.

Hi,

I usually use EVS005 to download data from M3 to Rhythm.

For example, if I input MITMAS in EVS005, then M3 will export show.itemMaster BOD to ION.

Now, I heard that there is EVS006 which is able to export sync.itemMaster BOD and is more configurable than EVS005.

I am finding information about EVS006.

I did find following in Info Center. But I don't know what to put BOD noun, variant...etc.

Is there any doc. can provide example on how to use EVS006?

Set up the initial load

1. Open 'Initial Load. Open' (EVS006).

2. Specify the:

   1. Primary table from which data should be sent.

   2. Required fields from the primary table, up to a maximum of 10 fields.

   3. BOD noun.

   4. BOD variant.

   5. BOD sequence number.

3. Optionally specify if related tables should be used in the selection, up to a maximum of 3 related tables.

   1. If related tables are included, specify the required fields. Note that data from the related tables is not included in the initial load dataset. Related tables are only used to refine the selection criteria defined for the primary table.

Execute the initial load

1. To execute the initial load immediately after set up in (EVS006), select related option 11='Run' to open 'Initial load Job. Open' (EVS007). The tables and fields for the BOD noun specified in (EVS006) are then listed.

2. Specify whether the BOD verb is 'Show' or 'Sync'. If 'Show' is specified, a logical ID must be entered to identify the receiver of the BOD.

3. Specify the filter criteria for the pre-selected tables and fields using these options:

   • Blank value = only a record containing a blank value for the field will be included.
   • Specific values = a specific value or a comma separated list can be added. Records containing any of the specified values for the field will be included.
   • Range = any records within the range for the field will be included.
   • Ignored = the field is not included.

4. Click submit to execute the load.

Execute using an existing BOD

• Open (EVS006).
• Select the required BOD noun from the list displayed and choose related option 11='Run' to open (EVS007).
• Verify that the selection criteria listed satisfies requirements.
• Click submit to execute the load.

Hi,

You need to specify the BOD noun(eg: ItemMaster) and Table(MITMAS) in the EVS006 and create an entry, once the entry is created you can go for related options and choose 'RUN' which will redirect to EVS007 there you can choose the BOD verb(eg: show) and you have to specify the logical id of the connection point you want the BOD to be sent and click next button. This will trigger the initial load for that BOD.
