Upgrade to 6.5.3 SP2 problem
Legacy Contributor
Hello, all. I figured I'd post this in case anyone else runs into the same problem I just had. We recently upgraded to SP2 of version 6.5.3. After the upgrade, we could no longer get in to post the manufacturing journals. It gave a very bizarre error: "hWndForm and hWndItem must be Window type". I hooked Visual up to the MS Dependency Viewer and found the error was in CDLLI40.DLL, which is part of the Unify Gupta runtime. The Dependency walker showed a missing procedure in the version of the runtime included with the service pack for procedure GuptaProgId1.
The build number of VFMFGJRN included with SP2 was 38. I solved the problem by downloading version 6.5.3 build 36 from Infor365. I believe Infor must have built build 38 on a newer version of the runtime than what was included in the service pack.
Question: Does anyone think this is going to cause me problems in the future (reverting the build)?
Thanks,
Jon Brierley
