UnForm Document Archiving of Custom Report Formatter Report
salbritton
I have a customer that has UnForm and Document Archiving Management (DAM). They are on a very recent version of UnForm 8, and are on FACTS 7.7.3. I created a custom report in FACTS via Report Formatter using standard programming techniques for a Report Formatter program. When report is run to an UnForm printer, I'd expect this report (ICRZ30) to be archived in UnForm DAM. It is not. Other custom non-Report Formatter reports are being archived. It's not a "form" (where I would normally use SMC045, like SOP211 does to archive the form being printed). I checked other Report Formatter programs (like the Replenishement report, which is getting archived) to see if there is anything in those programs that might be needed, but didn't see anything that might be related to UnForm archiving.
Any ideas out there why the new report is not being archived in UF-DAM?

I believe two things are needed:
1) Access code SMRPTS needs Document Code
2) Access code UNFO (SMF003, Archiving Metadata Maintenance) needs 'Avail for Unform' checked.
An example I looked at was SMRPTS for ICR350 and its associated doc code 'ICPOFILL' in SMF003.
I looked at one of our 7.7.2 clients and I don't see that the Replenishment Report is available for Archiving.

Todd, Thanks for the response, but I believe those two steps are only required if there are to be hyperlinks in the report/register to other documents. I checked this customer and others, and standard reports (such as the Stock Status (ICR710)) are being archived without either of those two things being done.

I think it does not like your program name. In taking a quick look at the Unform rule file, it looks like it is looking for a program name in the form of 3 letters then 3 numbers.

Terry, thanks for the response!! That was it - needed to make a minor tweak to the UnForm Generic Report ruleset to allow for program names with 'Z' in the 4th position.
This is how I've always been able quickly distinguish custom applications from standard FACTS applications (could always to search/listing of the ***Z** programs to isolate custom apps).
Thanks again for pointing me in a direction - I appreciate it!
