Lot / Serial Tracking

Are you using lot / serial tracking within Lawson SCM? if so, what are you processes, pros and cons, how you use barcode scanning, etc.?

We are not using Lot/Serial tracking at the Item Master level. And since the option to track at the Item Location level was introduced in 9, none of our sites have chosen to track either Lot or Serial numbers. I think the driver for us is the sheer volume of work effort required. Even though such tracking would greatly facilitate product recall management, I / we don't feel the "juice is worth the squeeze".
