Using Macros in Visual Mfg question.

I am trying to use Macros in Visual Mfg. Can anyone tell me any good resources or websites that can help me learn as much as I can about macros.

One of the Problem I run into is When ever I right an msg box Macro for Customer Order Entry I have these save messages even though no data was changed.

1. You are changing a line that has been shipped. Continue?
2. This PO number has already been used for this Customer. Continue?
3. You will lose changes to this Customer order. Proceed?

Is there a reason why these always pop up even though no data has changed?

Is there something you can put in the macro to prevent these.

Hi Touly,

Your best start would be to find a presentation that is on the infor support site. If you search the knowledgebase for the solution titled:
What Documentation Is Available For Macro's?
You will find a link to nowait.support.infor.com/.../VE11550_Macros.zip
This contains a presentation that covers a lot of topics, including macros.

One thing to note is that for 6.5.2+ there are new macro events that can be used. Those events are:
_OnAfterSave
_OnNew
_Load
_OnSave
