Barcode Options Greyed Out on W/O Travellers - Citrix Environment

We have an intermitent issue where clients are not able to check the Barcode options when printing W/O Travellers in Visual Manufacturing. Our environment is Visual Mfg. 7.0 running on a pair of XenApp 6 servers. We have the barcode fonts on both servers. This doesn't effect all users and occurs "randomly" and sometimes seems to correct itself. Right now one user is seeing this behavior on her computer and it doesn't seem like it's going away. If I log in with her network account on another computer (and use that account to connect to Citrix), the options are there. I've installed the barcode fonts locally on her computer, deleted the Visual ini configuration folder and let it recreate and the problem doesn't not go away on that computer. If I log in as another user on her computer, the options are there. I also tried deleting her Windows profile on her computer and let it recreate itself. When I did that, I had the options the first time I tried but after closing out of Visual and going back in, the options were greyed out and stayed that way. I've looked at all the solutions on Inforxtreme and none of them solve the issue. Anyone else seeing this behavior and have a solution?

Hmm.. odd you can't see it. I don't recall exactly what the resolution was but it had to do with print drivers. I'll look back through my "book-o-Visual-knowledge" and see if I can find more info for you.

What I've found is that it seems to be related to auto-created printers that aren't installed directly on the Citrix servers. In this case, the user was printing to a deskjet printer attached via USB to another computer in the same room. That USB printer was shared and "installed" on her computer. When she went into Visual to print Travellers with that as her default, the options were greyed out. If the default printer was changed to one that was actually installed on the Citrix server and she goes to the Travellers screen, the barcode options are available. Luckily the deskjet printer had a network port so I just set it up as a networked printer, installed it on the Citrix server and set her computer to print to that queue. That seems to have "solved" this issue. This may also be the reason that this problem is "random" for both computers and sessions. The next time it comes up I'll see if it's a similar situation.

Sorry for dredging up an old post but I've seen this happen if the bar-code fonts are not properly installed on a PC.
