Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with the following (or even if its possible)
We have an Opera 3 site, that is completely buttoned down security wise.
All users a non local admins & their IT dept is based in Hungry.
So as you can imagine its a pain when we upgrade them as they need to raise a ticket with Hungry, wait days & then they email us asking us what we want etc....
Weve tried to arrange the payroll upgrade, warning them that we will need access to the server on the day & then they will have to go round each client to update it
theyve asked "
it’s a huge workload for us if we need to upgrade the Opera client one by one on every user’s computer, that is why we’d prefer doing a mass deployment.
Would it be possible that we can get the installation files of the upgrade and a documentation about how we could create a package to be deployed from SCCM?
Im sure Opera has had this capability for many years, just weve never used it before & wondered if its something that people have done before.
Plus Im not entirely sure this method will work if theyre not local admins. Just thought Id check before I say its not possible.
Many thanks
James
