How to launch a bookmark inside M3?

Hi,

I have built a custom list panel in CMS010 and added a bookmark to it.

The bookmark appears in my Homepage Widget and launches as expected, but how can I add the same bookmark into my toolbar menu inside M3?

I have tried to paste it to the Link URL, but M3 respond that I am not allowed to start external links from here.

You can try this:

- from CMS010, simulate list (option 24)

- copy your url from the browser and decode it (https://www.urldecoder.org/)

"fieldsName" parameter is a combination of (field name, field value which may be mostly blank). For example, WWIBCA (category information) is hard-coded "ITF_MITMAH"

- Open the M3 transaction where you want to add the link + open link manager.

Enter a name for your link, click next

- copy/paste the url starting from "?favoriteContext", then save

- from your M3 desired transaction, click + , choose "links"and add the link in the menu list

Should work.

Hi,

No there is no difference between on-prem and cloud, as long as you run Maximes example in Mingle. The ?favoriteContext will actually use Mingle to launch a generic favorite context. If you are in the toolbox area simply using bookmark?xxx would be enough, like this:

bookmark?PROGRAM=CRS610&TABLENAME=OCUSMA&KEYS=OKCONO%2C136%2COKCUNO%2C1000-14_2%2B&OPTION=5&PANEL=E&SORTINGORDER=null

Notice that this example does not have the trailing parameter LogicalId=lid://infor.m3.x becauase you are aleady in M3. I would only use the M3 syntax in M3.

If you still have the StartPage enabled in H5 then the instructions to get a bookmark is like this:

The bookmark syntax is more complex so the best way to create a bookmark drillback link is to copy a bookmark. The instructions below is when using H5 and Start pages.

Start the M3 program and navigate to the panel
Open the Tools menu and select "Add to Start Page Shortcuts..."
Enter a name and click OK
Open a Start Page with the Shortcuts widget
Right-click on the new Shortcut (bookmark) and select "Copy Link to Clipboard..."
Press Ctrl+C
Paste the bookmark into a text editor
Remove the initial string "bookmark?" and replace it with "?LogicalId=lid://infor.m3.1&"
This last step is to use the bookmark in Mingle, like in Startpages. Know that it can work with just an initial lid to find M3, favoriteContext? is not needed. However you MUST know the lid of M3 in your installation. In this example it's lid://infor.m3.1 in Maxine example it's lid://infor.m3.1

To complicate things in Mingle Homepages we have support for resolving whatever is the current lid for M3. That way you can make simple launch links (bookmarks have key information in the link that might not apply across environments).

These portable links with {} only works in Mingle Homepages, like in the menu widget

Examples:

H5 program start – hardcoded

?LogicalId=lid://infor.m3.1&program=MMS001

H5 program start - portable

Your bookmarks is an example of aMingle bookmark that has one LogicalIdParameter.

If you take the URL starting from the start up until the last &LogicalId that will work for M3. Almost like this:

1. Copy

2. Decode as this entite parameter is encoded. It should start with bookmark?

The decoded string looks like this:

bookmark?CMS100&fieldNames=W2OBKV,,W3OBKV,,W4OBKV,,WFSLCT,A01,WTSLCT,A01,WFSLC2,3,WTSLC2,3,WFSLC3,210301,WTSLC3,&includeStartPanel=True&source=MForms&requirePanel=True&sortingOrder=3&view=STD03-00&panel=&tableName=CSYIBC&keys=KOCONO,100,KOFACI,+,KOITNO,+,KOSTRT,+,KOVASE,+,KOCROC,+,KORORN,+,KORORL,+,KORORX,+,KOECVS,+,KOSMFN,+,KOPCTP,+,KOPCDT,+&parameters=XXIBCA,LST_MCHEAD

However it does not look correct to me. Seems like this was incorrecty encoded because I can se that the field names are not encoded.

Now the CMS100 part is just a parameter with no value. I have two options to test now. Encode all what seems to be parameter values on their own or just encode everything after bookmark?. I would try with just encoding everything after bookmark? even through that is not the way you would normally handle parameters. So please try with:

If that does not work the the value for fieldNames should be encoded, then the value for keys then the value for parameters. Encode each parameter value seperately.

You link is simply 1 but completely encoded.
