Dear LN Users,
Do you sometimes purchase things online as a consumer, like for example at Amazon? If one supplier can deliver tomorrow and the other supplier in 5 days, a customer often chooses for the next day delivery. Of course, some choose a later delivery date as well (for example better price, different color available, etc.). In the B2B market the same phenomenon arises. We expect the need for this kind of flexibility to increase even further in future. Therefore, we would like Infor to accommodate for this. Unfortunately, so far Infor is static about it. Lead times in production and outbound for example are always the same, no matter the situation.
May we ask your help for our enhancement requests regarding this?
We are a manufacturing company, which has a workload with high peaks. To match customer demand, we need to be able to perform both the production and outbound process for the very short lead time orders last minute, and produce/prepare the outbound for orders with a later delivery date timely. That levels our workload to some extent and allows us to deliver the ‘rush’ orders in a short lead time.
If you believe this issue below also impacts your organization we invite you to endorse the Enhancement Requests for variable lead times 66280 (outbound) and/or 66283 (production).
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Vicky Sanders
