MOA and Office 365 vs. Office 2016

I have Office 2016 and a co-worker has Office 365.  When she uses Addins to pull the vendor item or manufacturer item Excel changes the formatting so leading zeros are dropped (0013 changed to 13) and trailing zeros on numbers with decimals are also dropped (265.120 changed to 265.12).  Some numbers are formatted as date (5537-6/11 changed to 6/11/5537).  But when I run the same query the original text is preserved. Is this a known issue with Office 365 and MOA or is there a setting within Excel that we need to change?

This is a known quirk of Excel. It auto-converts everything that's all numbers to numeric and attempts to make anything with hyphens or slashes to dates.  Once exported in Add Ins, you can reformat columns to TEXT using Data, Text To Columns from the topline menus. This will correct the numbers as dates, but won't add back the missing lead zeros.  If you know how many, a concatenate formula can be used to add them back.
