PO25 items with a discount

How do you handle items that get a discount outside of PO25 price when discount is only for 1 participant because they are part of some program offered?

For example, we have a PO25 agreement with many participants with 6 items on it that are part of a GPO and price for each match GPO contract price.

However, not all participants get the discounted price.

So Participant 1 creates a PO with Item A with the GPO price (ex: $800) and buyer has to adjust after confirmation comes back with discounted price (ex: $700) for that participant who is part of some program they offer for Item A.

Can PO25 manage this or should IC12 control pricing separately for all the different participants and not use PO25 at all?

In V10, we would set up 2 different PO25s. In Landmark, we set different tiers on the same contract and assign respective tiers to embers.

Same process for us in V10, two contracts with related participants for each Tier and price. Since our pricing is VPA first, the IC12 pricing won't populate the PO.

Weset up a second PO25 for the discount - we do the following to make sure the right people see the right ones.

On PO25.1

Header Type Specific Tab - there's a Priority - make the discount price file a 1 and the GPO one a 2.

Add it to look just like the GPO contract on PO25.6

From PO25.1 click on "Pricing" to get to PO25.2

In Base Percent Markup or Discount: put the discount % here (1.5 or whatever)

Markup or Discount: D (Discount)

Go back to PO25.1 anc click Participants to get to PO25.3 and put in the company, req loc or acct unit that applies. If your endusers are using RQC, I'd reccommend req loc over AU - the RQC profile header was ... weird for a while.

Release your PO25 and on PO28 you should see both the GPO Price and the discount price. Users using the req loc on participants tab will "see" the discounted price first and it should be what defaults in for them. Everyone else will get the GPO price.

thanks for reply. So it turns out the original PO25 agreement had only 6 lines on it with multiple participants. Only 1 line got a discount but for only 2 participants. I created the second PO25 agreement with only the 1 line and the 2 participants using the discounted price on the line, not using the Pricing tab. I did give the second PO25 a Priority of 1. Hope that works.
